Adult Social Care – Why Should We Care? Thursday 28 Oct 7.30 - 9pm

Over the past decade, the Tory Government has failed to deal with the issue of adult social care. Local authorities, individuals and families are forced to fund the ever-increasing costs of supporting older and vulnerable people. Undoubtedly this will impact many members and supporters. So we have gathered a distinguished and expert panel to discuss how adult social care works within the local context in B&NES, how it’s funded, the difference between private and public sector providers, and how the Lib Dems can hold the government to account and ensure that this issue is addressed properly, both locally and nationally.

Panellists

  • Nick Coates, Chair of Bridgemead Care in Bath, will facilitate and chair the session
  • Cllr Alison Born has Cabinet responsibility for adult social care in B&NES
  • Simon Allen is the recently appointed CEO of B&NES AGE UK
  • Rob Greig has for many years played a leading role in policy development, service delivery and achieving change around disability services in England.

Register to attend this Zoom discussion, and we will send you a joining link on the morning of the event. Open to members and supporters, and guests.
