Councillor for Bathavon North, Deputy Council Leader and Cabinet Member for Climate Emergency and Sustainable Travel
Sarah Warren has been a resident of Batheaston for the past nineteen years with her husband and two children. During the lockdown she really came to appreciate the fabulous countryside and the close-knit community in her ward. Sarah is passionate about the environment, holding Cabinet responsibility for Climate Emergency and Sustainable Transport. She previously worked as a NHS Information manager and studied Sustainability at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales.
During her time as a councillor she has led the implementation of the Clean Air Zone, the first such charging zone outside London, which was turned on in March 2021. Sarah wants to embed the climate and ecological emergencies at the heart of all council decision making. In Bathavon North Ward she hopes to see improved pedestrian safety through liveable neighborhood schemes.
