We host a variety of events throughout the year to suit all ages and levels of involvement in the party. From our regular Politics and A Pint event, which provides new members and those thinking of joining a great opportunity to meet like-minded people to quizzes, fundraisers, BBQs and so much more! This is also where we promote Action Days, hustings and other campaigning events.

Help to Have a Flutter with our First Silent Auction!
In a challenging year, it’s even more important to make our fundraising efforts a success. Whilst the Tux & Tiaras evening is a fundraising event, we want to make it as inclusive as possible, so we will release some tiered ticket prices to make it affordable for more people, as we have done with other fundraising events.
Another innovation this year is our first online silent auction which will be open to all members, whether or not they can attend the evening on 28 November. We hope there will be fabulous prizes available at a range of prices so all members can take part. We would like to offer a variety of exciting prizes so can you help? For example, do you have a holiday home, beach hut or caravan that a successful bidder could use for a weekend? Are you renowned for your delicious cakes or casseroles which you could make as a prize? Wine, whisky, and other drinks are greatly appreciated, as are offers of services such as gardening or painting, yoga or language lessons, wine tasting or cooking demonstrations etc. Can you give time-unlimited vouchers for restaurants, hotels, or spas to be enjoyed when we are allowed such treats again? Dust off your Glad Rags, polish the silver and get out your best crystal. Alternatively, just set the table and pull up a chair… for the fundraising event of the year!
Do join us for our glamorous, or cosy - your choice - Tux & Tiaras ‘virtual’ Annual Dinner, the major fundraising event of our year. We’re planning a lively and entertaining evening on Zoom – and it’s open to all members and partners.
Our plans include music from a local jazz band, an international classical singing star, spectacular magic and an after dinner speaker to regale us with tales of local endeavours.
We’ll have opportunities to chat to old friends, and new; and if you feel inclined to dress up, we’ll reward you for the best ‘above the waist’ style! If you’d rather not bother, there’ll be a prize for the comfiest slippers!
During November, we’ll run an online silent auction, featuring generously donated prizes (please donate!). The auction will be open to all members, but final bids for the top prizes will be taken at the Dinner.
A limited number of priority tickets are available now at £40 pp. Priority tickets include a 3-course dinner (see menu here), delivered to your door (within B&NES), with warming/serving instructions. We are also offering specially selected wines to pair with each course, to enhance your dining experience.
