Keynsham Against Bristol Airport Expansion

By BathNES Lib Dems 🔶, Jan 28, 2020 10:01

Huge numbers of Keynsham residents showed their support for B&NES, Keynsham Town Council and KeynshamNow’s opposition to Bristol Airport Expansion.

On January 11th, the town was brought to a standstill by a large demonstration which marched past St Johns, along the High Street and Temple Street, past the Farmers’ Market and back to The Park.

Cllr Andy Wait said, “The airport has reached its maximum capacity, many residents on the flight path to the south of the town are complaining now about the noise, particularly on summer evenings and during the night. This expansion will lead to many more flights at those times”.
