Cabinet Member for Transport Services
5 Eden Terrace
Joanna Wright is a long-term resident of Larkhall where she lives with her husband and two sons. Concerned with the lack of amenities and the adverse effects it could impose on the youths of Bath, Joanna raised £130k and involved residents of all ages in leading a successful seven year campaign to create a skate park. The facility is due to be completed in the Spring of 2019. As a member of Transition Larkhall, a community group dedicated to combating climate change, Joanna has spent the last two years researching transport in Bath. This has led to her actively lobbying the council to rethink transport issues in Bath. Now elected, Joanna will continue to advocate for fixing pollution problems.

Rob Appleyard has twelve years of invaluable experience, having previously served as a Unitary Authority Councillor. A former resident of Radstock, Rob has relocated to Bath as of five years ago. Rob has now made the diverse community of Lambridge his home, and wants to give back to the community that he loved by working to fix the number of issues there. In the past, Rob has run successful campaigns for delivering a better road safety crossing at two of the local schools in Lambridge, as well as helping to create a skate park facility for teenagers in Alice Park with local resident Joanna Wright. Rob is a strong believer of a collaborative approach to community cohesion and growth, and wants to see his community flourish. Rob wants to explore adding new revenue streams in the area to counter the current continual reduction of government funding.
