The traffic situation on Moorland Road is bad and the lack of residents parking across Oldfield Park is incredibly frustrating. To tackle Bath's poor air quality situation, we need to reduce the amount of cars on the road, but for many people, that just won't be possible.
An idea for more parking on Moorland Road could come with reducing the length of the bus stop right down, and inserting a stuck out piece of pavement where the bus can pull up and pick people up.
The number 12 bus which turns up Maybrick Road, stops once an hour, and the use of the long bus stop area could be used much more efficiently and be used to allow around three extra cars to park.
The current Conservative led B&NES have said they will not undertake any changes like this, but an administration led by another party will look closely at it
We the undersigned demand better solutions to the congestion and parking problems in Oldfield Park, and think a differently designed pick up point for the buses could help more cars to park.
