One year on ....

Just over a year ago Steve and I were elected to serve Odd Down for 2019-2023

But it is also 21 years ago that Steve was first elected to B&NES Council

We both want to pay tribute to the Odd Down residents. It is a pleasure and a privelage to serve you!

Cllr. Joel Hirst said: " I want to pay tribute to Steve for his long service to Odd Down residents. For 21 years Steve has always championed the residents of Odd Down"

Steve Hedges said:

"I Can't believe, how much has happened since this photo was taken. Joel Hirst is becoming a great Councillor, and the people of Odd Down Amaze us both, What a community!"

During this period of lockdown and crisis, the Council normal business has been suspended. There are now early signs of the Council starting to resume nomal busines allbeit it in very challengening times. Already the budget for 2020/21 is projecting a £50 million deficit due to Coronavirus crisis. The crisis has hit the council hard with both income down and costs up due to the extraordinary response required.

The Lib Dem group will be briniging forward a revised budget for 2020/21 and sadly some of the commitments we wanted to make will inevitably be delayed.

Steve and Joel will continue working hard to do what is right for our residents.

Sadly we have had to suspend our weekly surgeries because of social distanceing. But please do raise issues and concerns:

Please email or ring us:

We will continue to help with case work as best we can. However we have been advised that the council is going to have limited capacity to deal with issues other than COVID-19 related issues.
