Tackling problem parking in Moorlands

By Jessica David, Jan 28, 2020 11:01

I am working with many local residents affected by problem parking, including streets affected by the Bear Flat Residents Parking Zone (RPZ).

Some changes to road markings, including yellow lines, are being made in February to improve visibility around corners and junctions.

In January, representatives from some streets met with Cabinet Member for Transport Cllr Joanna Wright to explain the issues that all-day parking by shoppers or commuters is causing.

The council is currently reviewing Bath’s parking policies. We hope to introduce a more strategic approach to parking in residential areas that will avoid the overspill issues seen by single RPZs.
