Time Out names Bath one of world’s top 50 cities for 2026

Bath was at the top of several categories in this year’s survey, receiving the highest score for community feel, with 86 percent of locals saying they feel a sense of belonging in the city. And it’s welcoming - it was rated the easiest place to make friends and meet new people out of all cities surveyed, according to 76 percent of locals. Finally, with a massive 94 percent approval score, it’s the best city on the list for green space and nature.

Councillor Kevin Guy, leader of B&NES Council said, “While many of us already know how special Bath is, it’s fantastic to see our city recognised internationally for its culture, heritage, creativity and quality of life. This recognition belongs to everyone who helps make Bath vibrant, welcoming and forward‑looking.”
